Triple Easel
• Ovals die set • White card • Blue card
• Patterned backing paper
• Paper flowers
• Dragonfly and butterfly die cuts
Score and fold three pieces of white A4 card in half.
Create the largest oval by placing an 11.4cm x 17.3cm oval die onto one of the folded sheets, slightly over the fold, and cut.
Repeat with a 9.8cm x 15cm oval die and a 7.6cm x 11.5cm oval die to create the other two ovals. Score and fold each of the card fronts in half to turn them into easels.
Die cut three ovals from white card, an 11.4cm x 17.3cm, a 9.8cm x 15cm and a 7.6cm x 11.5cm. Stick each onto the front of their corresponding cards.
Die cut three pairs of ovals in blue card, measuring 10.7cm x 16.2cm, 9.1cm x 13.9cm and 6.8cm x 10.4cm. Stick each pair of ovals to its corresponding card, one on the outside and one inside.
Cut another three pairs of ovals from patterned backing paper, measuring 10.5cm x 16.1cm, 8.3cm x 12.7cm and 6cm x 9.2cm. Stick each to their corresponding card, one on the outside and one inside.
Die cut a 5.3cm x 8cm oval from blue card and a 4.5cm x 7.1cm from white card. Stick together with foam tape and stick onto the front of the largest card.
Die cut a 4.5cm x 7.1cm oval from blue card and a 3.8cm x 5.8cm from white card. Stick together using foam tape and stick onto the front of the second largest card.
Die cut two ovals from blue card measuring 3.8cm x 5.9cm and 3cm x 4.5cm.
Die cut two white ovals measuring 3.1cm x 4.6cm and 2.2cm x 3.3cm. Stamp a sentiment onto the larger white oval. Stick the blue and white ovals together in pairs, stick the larger pair onto the top of the smallest card and the remaining pair onto the inside of the card.
Cut an assortment of dragonfly and butterfly dies (or any other insects you might prefer!) and stick them onto your cards to decorate, along with your flower embellishments. Why not bend the wings out slightly to add some dimension?
Finally, stick the three oval easels together to complete the triple easel. Layer the cards from largest to smallest, sticking each onto the larger roughly halfway on the inside. This also means that each card acts as a stopper for the preceding card, but the smallest one will need some flowers inside for its own stopper!
