Word Classes ( Part of Speech)

In English, words are grouped into word classes based on the
function they perform in a sentence. The main word classes in
English are listed below

➢ Noun
A noun is a word that identifies :
a person (boy, woman,
baby, teacher) a thing (book,
house, paper, door)
an idea, quality, or state (anger, life, luckiness, courage)

➢ Verb
Verbs are words that express physical actions (e.g., to
chase), mental actions (e.g., to think), or states of being
(e.g., seem).
