Rocketry and Ballooning Flight Club –

Love to shoot model rockets? Curious about weather balloons and other flying objects? Then rocketry and ballooning
is the answer. Come join us for a great experience and learn the logistics of these areas of flight. Get your hands on
these great devices and have a change to launch them yourselves. Club will meet at various times and in different
locations depending on the activity and the availability of club members. Meetings will occur every 4-6 weeks during
the school year. Available for elementary – high school and activities will be divided according to club member ages.

        Pumpkin Toss Team –

The Tucson Pumpkin Toss holds a hurling competition every Fall on the University of Arizona Mall, using different types
of catapults to throw pumpkins for distance and accuracy. Schools from all over Tucson and the surrounding
communities design, build and compete against each other.
The competition is on a sebatical this year, but our team is designing a building a brand new machine. If you love
designing and engineering devices that can throw things far and accurately, this is a really fun opportunity for you. If
you would like to be part of this club you will be responsible for helping to design/redesign and build a catapult or
trebuchet that will be used in the competition in 2018. Designed for middle and high school budding engineers.

This club/team will be mentored by Leigh & Kurt Elkins. Meetings will most likely occur at their home. Contact Leigh
        Elkins at leighelkins@questforeducationandarts.com.
