5 Types of Bonds

Short Term Bonds: Bonds that have maturity dates of 1-3 years

Intermediate Term Bonds - Bonds that have maturity dates of 3-10 years

Long Term Bonds - Bonds that have maturity dates of 10 or more years

Municipal ( Muni) Bonds - Bonds issued by local government

Junk Bonds - Bonds issued with bad credit ratings
