The club fitting experience is painless. All players do is hit
golf balls during the fitting, that’s it. The techs then go to
work and their efforts of fitting the proper pieces together
will not only help your game, but will help your confidence
by knowing you’ve done the most to make sure your swing
and your clubs are synced.

So why don’t more people get fit? Weaver, who’s been fit-
ting clubs for 24 years, has the answer. “A lot of people
are scared. They don’t want to swing in front of someone.”
The staff isn’t there to judge anyone’s swing, just to help.
“Whether it’s an older lady or a taller guy or any golfer, we
can help their game. We start at ground zero. How tall are
they? How is their posture? We look at their swing. We find
out where their miss is. Are they a high-ball or low-ball hit-
ter? We just try to work with all the factors and numbers to
match up everything to give them the best clubs possible.”

tures a GC Quad Launch Monitor along with simulator
technology that measures clubhead speed and ball flight
statistics. In short, the technology will help ensure the play-
ers’ impact is as close to perfect for them as possible. “With
all of the shafts and clubheads available we’ve got tens of
thousands of possible combinations. We’ve got the ideal
combination for everyone.”

They use a variety of different shafts and clubheads to
make sure ball launch, swing speed, club impact and other
variables are all in line. “We’ll make sure they have a great
experience,” Weaver adds. “And if they purchase the clubs,
they get the fitting for free. I’ve had just about everybody
who finally came in for a fitting say they wished they had
done it 15 years ago.”

It may sound simple, but it’s vital to players improving and
having more fun on the golf course. “We’re here to grow the
game,” Weaver concludes. “And if we can get more people
having more confidence in their game and enjoying it more,
that’s the bottom line. Then we’ve done our job.”
