Favell Museum houses a once-private col-
lection dedicated to those who roamed and
loved this land before the white man’s arrival.
The non-profit museum houses over 100,000
artifacts that illustrate the lives of North and
South American indigenous tribes, emphasiz-
ing Native American tribes. The millennia-
old collection includes hunting/fighting/
living tools, clothing, cave artifacts, textiles,
basketry, pottery, and a miniature firearms
collection.
The gallery features renowned Western art-
ists such as Charles Russell and John Clymer.
In September, a fundraiser exhibition will
highlight contemporary artists—paintings,
bronze and wood sculptures. Many of the art-
ists will be there.
GALLERIE KARON

At three-years old, Karen Wasser was her father’s youngest art student. She later became entranced with miniature spaces. Her dad-built department
store had plate glass windows, working awnings and a revolving door. Window displays intrigued her most, changing them, dressing the miniature man-
nequins. In adulthood, Karen went into display, antiques and interior design.
Her background comes together at Gallerie Karon. (The center of the “e” in Karen fell out of her miniature store sign, thus Karon.) The gallery features
32 artists and photographers, along with artifacts, furniture, antiques, handmade dolls and realistic stuffed animals, and lots of jewelry.
