JEFF PEVAR

As a starry-eyed teen watching America’s introduction to The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan
Show, “joy, exuberance, and celebration” sparked in Jeff Pevar. Soon, he was playing in local
East Coast clubs—his mom drove him to rehearsals and gigs early on—where he hung
around older musicians who served as mentors and supporters.

A friend putting in a word, people hearing you or hearing of you, audition opportunities—
these led to Pevar, a multi-instrument musician, touring with the likes of Rickie Lee Jones
(in the States and Europe), Bette Midler, James Taylor, and Ray Charles. He played concerts
with Joe Cocker behind the Iron Curtain to crowds of 150,000, and took the stage with
Crosby, Stills, and Nash. Later, he and David Crosby produced four records as CPR (Crosby,
                                                   Pevar, and James Raymond).

Jeff loves it all. He gets deep satisfaction seeing the fruition of the hours, weeks, months,
years, and decades of pursuing and accomplishing his dream. He likes to inspire people, to
make them happy. He says it’s cool to hear one of his songs on the radio, remembering the
                                                   day he wrote it.

Pevar ended up in Southern Oregon through a Craterian show, where he met “this incred-

“Inger is the best thing that ever happened to me.” Today, they create music together. They’ve
cut records, toured, given concerts (some as Zepdrix, their take on Led Zeppelin and Jimi
Hendrix). Through supporting other artists and benefit concerts (most recently related to
the fires and Covid), they give back to the community.
