EVENTS
MUSIC AT THE MUSEUM
Grants Pass Museum of Art
On August 21 enjoy music by Max Hatt & Edda Glass from 7 p.m.
to 9 p.m. at the Grants Pass Museum of Art. With Glass's literate
lyrics, this Jazz Americana evokes the grandeur of the western land-
scape, telling intimate stories of little people on Great Plains, and
leaving audiences with a feeling both light and deep. They create
music that's "subtly poignant, elegantly funky, and haunting without
trying to be.”
On September 19 enjoy music by Rupert Wates from 7 p.m. to
9 p.m. Rupert Wates was born in London and studied at Oxford
University. His music is an eclectic mix of acoustic, melodic art/
folk, with flavors of jazz, vaudeville and cabaret. He has released nine
solo CDs. They have received outstanding reviews in the interna-
tional online press and tracks from them have been played on radio
all over the world.
Also at the Grants Pass Museum of Art, make sure to check out the
exhibit “The Land Remembers” from August 2 thru September 27.
Enjoy infrared black and white photography by Rich Bergeman depicting
landscapes where the Indian Wars took place in the 1800s.
