A SUMMER OF WONDER
At ScienceWorks
cienceWorks summer camps are touted as “the best camps of the Rogue
SValley.” Running through August 23, camps include Seekers for grades K
thru 2, Explorers for grades 3 thru 5, and Challengers academies for grades
6 thru 8. Themes include Tasty Chemistry, CSI:ScienceWorks, and To the
Moon and Beyond. Do you have what it takes to survive the zombie apoca-
lypse? Learn how to prepare for and prevent outbreaks at Zombie Prepper
Camp for grades 6 thru 8, held at MacLoughlin Middle School in Medford.
In other news this summer, the first Sundays of each month enjoy a
reduced $3 admission. The second Sunday, take your well-socialized dog to
ScienceWorks from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Dogs get in for only $2 when accom-
panying one full-price human companion. The Apollo 50: Small Steps to a
Giant Leap exhibit opens July 20. Experience the moon landing again for
the first time. Pilot a full-scale accurate lunar lander to the Moon’s sur-
face, command a mission on a vintage control console from NASA, explore
the evolution of space perspective and see the earth and moon from a new
perspective.
