eauty is far more than skin deep, and there is no shortage of ways to
pamper yourself in Southern Oregon. There’s a consumer shift from
Bconsidering health and beauty treatments a luxury to incorporating
self-care routines as a non-negotiable necessity.
The health, wellness, and beauty industries are poised to expand market
share even when other industries are declining in sales. A 2018 Nielsen
report titled The Future of Beauty predicts that natural beauty and self-
care routines will continue to rise. The report also reveals that trends will
redefine the fast-moving landscape of the beauty industry.
Beauty trends are popping up everywhere – think balayage, vampire facials,
float tanks, oxygen bars, and products with natural, organic ingredients.
A report from Zion Market Research states that the global cosmetic prod-
ucts market is expected to reach approximately 863 billion USD by 2024.
With stats like that it’s no wonder that more new regimes and options are
available than ever before. My top non-negotiable choices are healthy eat-
ing (organic, non-processed foods—available seasonally in local farmer’s
markets), exercise (it’s hard to beat a hike in Lithia Park), energy healing
techniques and spa treatments.
Let’s look at what’s trending on the beauty, health and wellness scene in
Southern Oregon.
I asked the experts what their clientele are gravitating towards and these
are trends I uncovered.
