WORKING IT OUT
Beyond outdoor options for hiking, biking, rafting, walking and more,
here are some fitness offerings to round out your health, wellness and
beauty routine.
ORANGETHEORY: The studio in Medford is the fastest grow-
ing Orangetheory in Oregon. They are present in 50 countries with
1,100 locations worldwide. Each location offers the same workout
on the same day. Every day, there's a new workout. If you've been
a member since the start of Orangetheory (2010), we can guaran-
tee there has not been a duplicated workout. We pride ourselves
in innovation, the science behind our technology and workouts,
trainers, staff, and our members. That means if you drop into a class
in Portland or Australia, they’ll be doing the same routine as the
Medford studio. However, you will never do the same workout twice.
I spoke with Faith Fear, Studio Manager, about the health and fitness
trends she sees and at Orange Theory, its group fitness with technol-
ogy-driven tracking. Faith says, “One thing that sets us apart from other
gyms is heart rate monitors, apps, and workout summaries to track
real-time progress. We’re the fastest growing Orange Theory gym in
Oregon because of our dedication to our members. We offer an engag-
ing, supportive, positive experience to focus on our members and our
member’s goals. We create community partnerships to support local
organizations. Plus, we have an arrangement with Blackrock and our
members receive discounts on drinks. Our gym is full in the summer
when classes typically taper off.”
With heart rate monitors, members can track their performance from
their very first class to their most recent class. This allows them to see
just how strong and healthy their bodies are getting with every work-
out, ensuring More Life. With low-impact but high intensity workouts,
Orangetheory Fitness is designed to help members achieve their fit-
ness goals.
Orange Theory offers a free one-hour workout so you can try before
you commit. Get the details here:

DANCE WORKS BARRE FITNESS: Located in
Ashland,Oregon, Aisha Wand offers her extraordinary talent to teach
dance and fitness at Dance Works. One of the popular offerings at
Dance Works is Barre Fitness. Barre is a low impact ballet based
workout. It combines ballet postures with high repetition movements
and light weights to tone and sculpt the entire body. The Barre work-
out targets hard to reach areas including hips, inner thighs, arms,
glutes, and abs (and muscles you never even knew you had—at least
that was my experience) to create the lean muscle tone of a dancer.
