6. This again is a testing question to answer simply.
Much of the Bible is inspirational writing but you
would have to know by whose inspiration it was
written and tho whom. Also in many translations a
great portion of the impact of the word has been lost.
The only way I can guide you on this question is to
suggest that the Bible be rewritten again by us and
that it be written to suit your age and then you could
understand it fully. As to distinguishing the true
spiritual teachings, let it be said that any teaching in
the Bible that takes you to God with no greater
promise than seeing God can be taken as spiritual.
7. Yes the significance of Baptism is now very obscure.
It was originally a neo-pagan act of purification in
that before ritual sacrifice the victim was purified
with water. In the Christian era Baptism was also
used as a purification accompaniment to the soul or
Spirit. So it has held even to today but again its
significance has been obscured. What is most
important is that it is not the original sin that is being
removed, it is the purification of the Spirit, the
washing of the Spirit before it faces its earthbound
life. Yes it is necessary, as to enter the realm of the
earth clean is clearing the way for a good start.
