acknowledge that all of creation is living, even though some
may appear inanimate. Every thing that is part of creation has

the seed of its creator in it. This book is part of my creation and
therefore carries part of me in it. These words have a life of
there own in so far as they effect you. Stones have a life force

even though they might not appear to have. The Native
Americans recognise them as the stone spirit people and

consider them to be the oldest spirits. I was talking to a
group one evening about the stone perople. There were some in
the group who thought it was very funny that I should feel that

this was true. A few days later I was walkin on the beach when
I saw this face looking up at me and I picked up the stone. This

was my first real encounter with the stone people. I brought in
my new friend to show the group. They no longer thought it
was funny. Some time later I was in need of a friendly face to

enter my life and the second face appeared. Near where I live
there is a large granite rock. I noticed that there were markings
on its surface. I decided that I would take an infrared

photograph of it at midnight on the eve of the summer solstice.
When I processed the photograph in my computer a face
appeared instead of the outline of the rock. This photograph

will not permit itself to be reproduced but the second stone
person I found is the same face as in the photograph. As a result

I have a renewed respect for stones.
