and disdain. Man is indeed looking at the nether side of himself and
ignorantly refusing to examine the possibility that they are looking at
themselves. You have a saying that illustrates this – “there but for the
grace of God go I”. This should be – “there go I”.
This is not a lesson in humility that we are extolling here.
These are facts of the impediments to spiritual growth. We see that
man is so reluctant to accept their ignorance as a necessary gift to
enable positive growth. It is impossible for humankind to
acknowledge that they need to learn unless they realise that they do
not know. First comes the weakness. This must not be used as an
excuse to remain ignorant. It must be used to promote a need to dispel
the unknowing. You will often catch yourself perpetrating this
particular crime against God. How often have you remained mute, the
question behind your lips remaining unasked, your ignorance
unchallenged?
It is vital to realise that you have been educated into a greater
state of ignorance. You cannot learn until the question is raised. You
cannot get the answer until you seek it. Often you accept the truth
from other people’s perceptions and fail to ask the questions that this,
to you, partial truth contains. How often have you found this to be the
case? Be honest with yourself. Only you and I will know, and I
understand.
Go now and cherish the weaknesses you have. Use them
wisely and you will grow so strong spiritually and indeed strong in
every way. The truth is so strengthening.
You have God’s love. Cherish that love and become wise.
