Racing sailboats can move at speeds
of up to 28 kilometres per hour. That’s
pretty fast.
Racing a sailing boat
Your teacher will give you a model sailing boat.
1 Float the boat in a water tray.
Pretend to be the wind. Blow on the boat to
make it move.
Make the boat start, speed up, slow down
and stop, using your breath.
2 Take it in turns to make the boat move.
Who can make the boat move the fastest?
