Pupils must follow courses in two of the three sciences - Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Pupils will have to choose a third science as one of their four option subjects. Each subject is taught by a specialist in that area of Science. Each discipline involves preparation for separate written examination papers.
All pupils are taught in mixed ability groups and will be entered for separate science examinations leading to the award of GCSEs in the single subject chosen.
For A Level, all pupils wishing to study science must attain a grade 8 in the subject of choice at GCSE.
