John O’Groats to Lands Ends ⏐ They
Made It!
Fifteen of our Year 11 Hockey boys and Mr Roberts decided to run/walk/cycle/row from John O’Groats to Lands Ends as the crow flies, equating to 603 miles. They aimed to complete this challenge by Sunday, 21 February.
The boys totalled 633.80 miles between them either running, walking, cycling or rowing. Congratulations to all who took part and thank you to Mr Roberts for organising.
Graeme Close ⏐ Webinar
The School was extremely fortunate to welcome one of the country’s leading Sport Scientists, Graeme Close, to speak to staff, students and parents on Monday 1 March via Webinar.
Graeme is a professor of Sports Physiology and he consults to many world leading brands and companies including the England Rugby Union team. He toured Japan with the squad in which England lost to South Africa in the World Cup Final in 2019.
His talk focused on keeping nutrition simple and gave us all a lot to think about. He made a fairly complex topic very simple and has also very kindly shared slides that he prepared for the England Rugby team to help our pupils moving forward.
U14 Rugby ⏐ Back in Action
U14 Rugby players are enjoying being back in action on our 3G pitch in their games lesson.
Congratulations to:
Sam Price who has been appointed Vice Captain for the U14 Warwickshire County Golf team this week.
