About NGVi

   Natural Gas Vehicle Institute (NGVi) is North America’s leading provider of training, education and technical
   consulting on natural gas vehicles and fueling technologies. Since its formation in 1989, NGVi has trained more
   than 19,000 students in the United States and more than 500 students in Canada, Mexico, Europe, Bangladesh,
   India, Malaysia and the Philippines.

   NGVi provides public and in-house training programs for government and commercial fleets, vehicle and engine
   manufacturers, NGV equipment and service providers, utility companies and others interested in the use of
   natural gas as a transportation fuel. NGVi’s training curriculum addresses a wide variety of technical subjects,

  NGVi’s Professional Training Staff

  Leo Thomason, Executive Director

                            Leo Thomason is known world-wide as an expert in natural gas fueling and vehicle technology.
                            A professional trainer, CSA certified CNG Fuel System Inspector, and experienced technical
                            consultant, Leo helps fleet managers, technicians and drivers understand the nuances of using
                            natural gas as a transportation fuel. Leo possesses specialized, in-depth and hands-on working
                            knowledge of CNG fueling stations, and has assisted dozens of clients in solving technical
                            design, operation and maintenance problems that could not be solved by others.

                            Leo Thomason began his career in the natural gas utility industry at Pacific Gas & Electric
                            Company in California. He holds an MBA in management science from California State
  University, Hayward, California and a BS in industrial technology from California State University, Fresno, California.

  Gordon Larsen, Instructor
  Gordon Larsen has more than 40 years of experience working as an NGV fleet supervisor, an educator and an NGV
  and fueling expert.

  During his tenure at Questar Gas, he managed the company’s fleet of 900 vehicles – 800 of which ran on natural gas.
  He also served in NGV business development capacities, helping customers introduce NGVs and fueling into their
  operations. He has earned master-technician certifications from Ford and GM, and diesel certifications from Allison,
  Cummins, Detroit Diesel and Caterpillar.

  Larsen was a frequent guest lecturer at applied technology schools including Weber State University, Utah State
  University, and Salt Lake Community College, as well as a technical conference speaker for public service
  commissions and National Clean Cities on the topic of natural gas as a transportation fuel. In 2005, he received a
  Lifetime Achievement Award from Natural Gas Vehicles for America (NGVA) and Clean Vehicle Education Foundation
  (CVEF).
