Introduction
With these clear verses, human beings became responsible and mandated to seek
basic learning which is represented in reading and writing principles. The verses
also imply a mandate for the state and family to provide learning for people and
family members.
Education in Yemen, and Hadhramout in particular, apparently has no vision. So,
the outputs are weak and shallow. That manifests through aspects like fluctuated
curricula, lack of teachers training, lack of teaching tools, weakening of school
administrations, and poor outputs for national strategies.
This situation resulted in dropouts of education, the shallowness of outputs, and
a large number of youths who don’t get their simplest rights from the state. Some
of them found their way to handicrafts get a livelihood in a dignified manner,
while some others are still under the darkness of unemployment and illiteracy
whose dangers increase day by day.
The idea; Amidst such dark circumstances, Mr. Fadi H. Bafadhl, the founder of
the Foundation, had noticed a situation in which one of the young people couldn’t
read an SMS message. Therefore, Mr. Bafadhl decided to help those youths even
by partially solving their problems, alleviating their suffering, and hence easing
the Burdon the society.
Brief History;
1. Mr. Bafadhl, who was behind the idea, had implemented trial classes on the
15th of June 2011 targeting 51 illiterate adults with a simple budget amounting to
only 800 US dollars.
2. At the beginning of 2012, some Yemeni traders have sponsored the idea.
Since then, it has been wildly developed to include the illiterate, those who have
difficulties in reading and writing, those who dropped out of education, and the
unemployed young people to be trained for 9 months.
3. On the 16th of February 2014, the Foundation was registered as an official
foundation at the Office of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor in Hadhramout
