There are three parts to this Cool-Down. The scatter plot
and questions appear on the next cards.
Activity narrative
Students continue to practice comparing data from a table and scatter plot by identifying points in the scatter plot and their corresponding entries in a table.
Additionally, students show their understanding of the connection by plotting an additional point to add to the data shown.
It is recommended that students have a copy of the student-facing task handout (see the Additional Materials section of this lesson) in order to complete this Cool-Down.
About Cool-Downs
Students are meant to work on the cool-down for about 5 minutes independently and turn it in. The cool-down serves as a brief formative assessment to determine whether students understood the lesson.
Students’ responses to the cool-down can be used to make adjustments to further instruction.
