Hello from your Associate Council:
I hope that you are all healthy at work and your families are safe and well. I wanted to take this opportunity to give you all an update on the exciting events that we have coming up that are being planned by the Associates Council. We had an excellent turn out to the GLAA Meet & Greet at the beginning of the year sponsored by Flooring by Design. At the Meet & Greet we introduced a new event for Lexington this year, our Business Exchange: Reverse Trade Show which we are still planning to do this year. The Business Exchange: Reverse Trade Show is a wonderful opportunity for Property Members to meet with our Vendor Members face-to-face, and begin a dialogue for new services, products and capital improvements for your properties.
The Business Exchange has become a virtual event and will be held in the same format via Zoom on Thursday August 27th, 2020.
We will have a virtual run through of the Business Exchange prior to the August 27th event for all of our Vendor Participants. Currently we have 10 Management companies signed up to participate: Cowgill Properties, BRG, AU Management, RealSource, PRG Real Estate, Denton Floyd, Ball Realty, Winterwood, Hills Properties and Continental Properties. We have a couple of slots open for additional Management companies, but we are filling up quickly. If you would like your Property or Management company to participate, feel free to contact myself or any of the wonderful women at the GLAA office. Vendor Members, be sure to use the online registration option to sign up for this event early so that you don’t miss out on the run-through.
I am also very excited to announce that your Associates Council has voted to make the Trade Show this year an outdoor event with a tailgating theme. Look for more information to come out later this summer with the details but I look forward to seeing you all in September for our 2020 Tailgating Trade Show.
As always, the Associates Council is here to serve all the Vendor Members of the GLAA and works in partnership with the leadership team from the Managers Key Council. We are here to be your voice and if there is anything we can do to help you get more involved and connected, we would love to hear from you.
