TIPS & ADVICE FOR VENDORS ATTENDING THIS NEW EVENT!
The day before the event, you will receive a booklet that includes a project data sheet from each management company.
Do not rely solely on this booklet! Be sure to do some homework before the event so you know who your top priorities are to meet with on Business CONNECT day.
Because of the time limits - and especially if you only have one representative from your company - you may not get to meet with everyone from every property management company.
You may not have time to meet with every management company, be sure to schedule follow up meetings with anyone you missed meeting during the "Speed-Dating" portion.
DAY OF TIPS | YOU WILL HAVE 4 MINUTES WITH EACH DECISION MAKER.
Have a PDF Business Card to share in your meetings.
Be mindful of the time constraints, you only have 4 minutes with each decision maker, so make sure you highlight anything new they may not know about the services or products you provide.
During the Business CONNECT, make sure to set follow up appointments during your time so that you can continue the conversation.
Watch the lines in front of the virtual meeting rooms, if there is a long line, move to a shorter line so you can get in front of a decision maker sooner. This will ensure that you are not spending all your time waiting in line.
Keep it short and simple, don’t try to cover everything or overwhelm the decision makers with all the information about your company.
Make sure to thank decision makers who are already clients and tell them about anything new you may be doing.
Have fun! This is a very fast-paced event, you will want to be memorable and have fun with your presentations.
Be courteous of others when it is time to move on to the next decision maker, when the bell rings, your time is up!
