Season’s Readings

How many ways can someone suggest using The Retreat Library for checking out fiction, nonfiction and biog-
raphies? A recent survey listed using your library as a money saver when on a fixed income. The community
library’s volunteers recently went through every book to make sure the collection is updated and we were im-
pressed by the usage. We keep titles that have checked out recently or have a publication date not older than
two years. With the holidays coming, donations seem to rise. Please be mindful for appropriate donations. They must have a recent publica-
tion date and be in good condition. We are unable to accept over-sized/tabletop books or text books. If your neighbor is not interested in read-
ing your book, consider other donation options such as Goodwill, the donation bin at Whole Foods or small amounts of donations are accept-
ed at the Riley Library at 1501 Pleasant Grove Blvd., Roseville, CA.

The Friends of the Roseville Public Library will have a Book Sale on Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 10am-3pm at the Maidu Activity
Center (notice the address) 1960 Johnson Ranch Road. This is located next door to the Maidu Museum and Historic Site.

All three locations of the Roseville Public Library will be open December 26-30, 2023 from 10am-3pm.

Starting in January, the library will host an adult financial series, watch the website for more information.
