By Mia Winter. Block Captain Exminster Lane
On Tuesday, August 1st, 28 neighbors on Exminster Lane participated in our
first Neighborhood Watch Block Party celebrating National Night Out. The
goal of the joint meeting was to get neighbors to meet face to face, enjoy the
day and live on a block "where everybody knows your name." That was ac-
complished. We even played cornhole and ate till there was no tomorrow.
Roseville Police Showed up in Droves
We had up to 15 law enforcement present in-
cluding city officials: Mayor Bruce
Houdesheldt and Councilman Scott Alvord.
Chief Troy Bergstrom and Captain Blake came
with an entourage of lieutenants, sergeants and officers including
the K-9 officer. And they stayed awhile. In fact, Lt. Chris Ciampa,
the speaker at our NW DRONE presentation at the Club, is now the
Public Information Officer for Roseville PD taking over Rob Ba-
quera's duties. Rob moved to City Hall headquarters for further ad-
vancement. Thanks to the team of Kari Lindner, Co-Captain, San-
dra Boyle, Georgene Turner and Joan Brigham and me. A big thank
you to Bill Winter, Co-Captain and Jim Turner who provided the
muscle. I must not forget to thank Sandra Boyle and Jim Rossetti
for offering up their place.
