It’s June! Even though the calendar says summer starts June 21 , the heat is here, and it appears mostly here to stay. Grumblings
throughout the state say we need to brace for another really hot summer. I’m hoping for the best, but we should be prepared for
some real hot days ahead. Make sure that you’re keeping cool and hydrated. Use that sunscreen if you need it. Make sure to take it
easy on exercise if you have any sort of medical condition that can limit your abilities.

If you haven’t already heard, the annual community garage sale is Saturday, June 3 . Individual garage sales are not permitted throughout the
rest of the year so if you have something to let go of, now’s your chance!
th
The annual membership meeting and director election is just around the corner, coming up on August 30 . If you are interested in running for
one of the three (3) upcoming open seats, please make sure to get your candidate form back to management either by US Mail, email or by
st
dropping it off at the office no later than July 1 . To date, we have received only one (1) self-nomination form from Richard Tipton. This leaves
two (2) additional open seats to fill. If, for some reason, you did not receive the form and are interested in running, please let management staff
know and we will gladly print another copy for you.
Fun fact: National Rocky Road Day falls on the 2nd of June, with National Macaroon Day the day after on the 3rd, and National Chocolate Ice-
Cream Day on the 7th. Luckily, June’s also Great Outdoors Month, as you’ll be needing the exercise if you celebrate all three of these in style!
June is also the only month where the first day falls on a day different from every other month of the year. Credit: ©FunFactsAbout
