I grew up gardening. In the summer we would get a half a ton of bark dust dumped on our driveway
and when we weren’t riding our bikes over the hill we were working in the garden. Today I have
raised beds for flowers and various trees and shrubs. I love that I can look at dahlias, zinnias
hollyhocks and a myriad of other flowers growing year around. During the pandemic I took out most
of my roses and put in lots of yellow jasmine. I put rocks in my yard (Mexican Pebble). It’s so color-
ful especially when it gets wet. I’m always looking for something new to put in my backyard for
viewing enjoyment from the patio, the hot tub or the street.
