All development proposals are expected to
consider the requirements of the London
Plan and H&F Local Plan policies in terms of
integrating SuDS. This needs to be done at
an early stage of the design process to
ensure that the proposed SuDS features
provide the best achievable performance in
terms of helping to manage flood risk, as well
as providing the other benefits that SuDS can
provide - e.g. improved water quality and
efficiency, biodiversity and amenity.
Key external stakeholders that should be
consulted on proposals are Thames Water
and the Environment Agency, depending on
23 the characteristics of the proposals being put
forward. Relevant council Departments such
as Highways, Housing, Parks etc should also
be involved in discussions if SuDS proposals
could impact on or be integrated into council
land, highways or housing estates.
