Local SuDS specific requirements
Developers should consider the London Plan
policies and RBKC’s Local Plan policies. The
Local Plan includes two specific policies to
implement SuDS in all developments which
are Policy CE2 (Flooding) and CL7
(Basements). SuDS should be considered
from the outset at a very early stage of the
development process (masterplanning) to
ensure they are fully integrated with the
topography and conditions of the site.
For minor developments the provision of
SuDS could be achieved using our SuDS tool

for small development. This tool calculates
the increase of surface water run-off as a
result of new impermeable surfaces
associated with the development. It also
gives different options of SuDS which can be
implemented.
For major developments, A SuDS strategy
should be submitted. More information
