            of Egypt.  9  And Dauid smote the lande, and left the woman, Whom shall I bring vp vnto thee?
            neither man nor woman aliue, and tooke sheepe, And he answered, Bring me vp Samuel.        12  And
            and oxen, and asses, and camels, and apparell, when the woman sawe Samuel, she cryed with
            and returned and came to Achish.  10 And Achish a loude voyce, and the woman spake to Saul,
            said, Where haue ye bene a rouing this day?      saying, Why hast thou deceiued me? for thou

            and say, So did Dauid, and so will be his maner  vp lapped in a mantel: and Saul knewe that it was
            all the while that he dwelleth in the countrey   Samuel, and he enclined his face to the grounde,
            of the Philistims.  12  And Achish beleeued Dauid,  and bowed him selfe.  15  And Samuel said to
            saying, He hath made his people of Israel vtterly  Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me
            to abhorre him: therefore he shalbe my seruant   vp? Then Saul answered, I am in great distresse:
            for euer.                                        for the Philistims make warre against me, and
                                                             God is departed from me, and answereth me no
                                  28                         more, neither by Prophetes, neither by dreames:

              1  Nowe at that time the Philistims assembled therefore I haue called thee, that thou mayest
            their bandes and armie to fight with Israel: ther-  tell me, what I shall doe.  16  Then said Samuel,
            fore Achish said to Dauid, Be sure, thou shalt Wherefore then doest thou aske of me, seeing
            go out with me to the battel, thou, and thy      the Lord is gone from thee, and is thine enemie?
            men.   2  And Dauid said to Achish, Surely thou  17 EuentheLordhathdonetohim, asheespakeby
            shalt knowe, what thy seruant can doe. And       mine hande: for the Lord will rent the kingdome
            Achish sayde to Dauid, Surely I will make thee   out of thine hande, and giue it thy neighbour
            keeper of mine head for euer.    3  (Samuel was  Dauid.  18  Because thou obeyedst not the voyce
            then dead, and all Israel had lamented him, and  of the Lord, nor executedst his fierce wrath vpon
            buried him in Ramah his owne citie: and Saul
            had put away the sorcerers, and the soothsayers  the Amalekites, therefore hath the Lord done this

            him, Beholde, there is a woman at En-dor that    vnto him, See, thine handmaide hath obeyed thy
            hath a familiar spirit.  8  Then Saul changed him voyce, and I haue put my soule in mine hande,
            selfe, and put on other raiment, and he went, and and haue obeyed thy wordes which thou saydest
            two men with him, and they came to the woman vnto me.       22  Now therefore, I pray thee, hearke
            by night: and he saide, I pray thee, coniecture thou also vnto ye voyce of thine handmaid, and
            vnto me by the familiar spirite, and bring me let me set a morsell of bread before thee, that
            him vp whome I shall name vnto thee. And the     thou mayest eat and get thee strength, and go on

            woman saide vnto him, Beholde, thou knowest      thy iourney.  23 But he refused, and said, I will not
            what Saul hath done, how he hath destroyed the eate: but his seruants and the woman together
            sorcerers, and the southsayers out of the land: compelled him, and he obeyed their voyce: so
            wherefore then seekest thou to take me in a snare he arose from the earth, and sate on the bed.

            the Lord, saying, As the Lord liueth, no harme   and she hasted, and killed it, and tooke floure
            shall come to thee for this thing.  11  Then said  and kneaded it, and baked of it vnleauened bread.
