The Lost Garden of Eden
17. Chives. These plants will look great in your vegetable garden but they can be
planted in your ornamental garden as well as they look so nice with their grass-like
leaves and lovely flowers. They will help to keep bothersome pests such as aphids
from your garden. They are great companion plants for cruciferous veggies such as
tomatoes, and carrots but you should keep them away from your beans and peas.
18. Sunflowers. These huge lovely plants can offer shade to smaller plants, and help
support weak stemmed plants as well. They will also help to attract pollinators and
repel nematodes.
