such occurrences.
Finding the Land Trails
The things you really want to look for are food scrap piles, tree gnawing marks, trail starts
at any water’s edge, and droppings.
Food scrap piles can be found for both beaver and muskrat. The beaver likes the inside,
soft, tasty portion of the trees’ bark, or they will eat all the new, soft bark offshoots and
soft branch twig ends. If food is plentiful, you’ll find that they will leave piles of bark with
just the soft inner layer scraped out.
