Consume More Complex Carbohydrates
Carbohydrates often have a bad reputation among the elderly. It is important to
take note that not all carbs are bad. In fact, carbs are an important part of the diet.
Carbs are converted by the body into glucose that provides energy for the body to
use. However, make sure that you consume complex carbs in the form of starchy
foods like brown pasta, potatoes, and whole grain bread. Avoid simple carbs like
refined sugar and white flour as they give you quick bursts of energy and often
leads to weight gain.
At the age of 60, you need to be careful when it comes to eating simple carbs as it
can result in the spike in your blood sugar level. This is especially true if you are
suffering or at risk of developing diabetes. This is the reason why it is so important
to opt for complex carbs instead of simple carbs.

the body while feeding your cells. Make sure that you make a fresh batch of
vegetable juice daily. Avoid buying store-bought vegetable juices as they contain
