The 14 amendment refers to a person being born subject to the
jurisdiction. When you look up the word “born” you will find that it describes
“delivery” – when the res is transferred constructively over to another party
(the “res” meaning the thing or the person, the property or future rights to

We are looking at some very fundamental relationships in the law which
