               media on their smartphones, it only took hours for
               this coronavirus story to grow dangerously viral.
                   Quickly, people began to hoard toilet paper and
               essential food items in preparation for the “worst
               case scenarios” presented by Neil Ferguson. Why was
               toilet  paper  hoarded?  Does  the coronavirus cause
               diarrhea? No. But as a general rule, fear and panic
               kills humanity’s ability to think critically. Try having

               a rational phone conversation with somebody while
               they are sprinting for their life in Spain’s Running of
               the Bulls; it won’t go well. Try teaching somebody
               about the merits of abstinence while they are currently
               engaged in having sex; it won’t go well.
                   Without really knowing how the coronavirus
               would impact the amount of deaths in our country,

               our elected officials decided to let the fear of the
               unknown dictate their actions, beginning with Dr.
               Deborah Birx. Dr. Birx is the Coronavirus Response
               Coordinator for the White House Coronavirus Task
               Force; she is the one who called for the President to
               “shut it down.”
                   The Governor or New York, Andrew Cuomo
               then stated during a press conference, “What we did
               was . . . we closed everything down. That was our

               public health strategy. Just close everything down.
               If you rethought that or had time to analyze that
               public health strategy, I don’t know that you would
