the Indians. Hugh was fighting with everyone until he
heard Captain Thomas. “Hugh take this!” He roared as
he tossed Hugh a single, polished shoe.
Hugh dropped the shoe due to the tallness of the
grass that they had just run into brushing against him,
startling him. He also dropped a small glass bottle of
water he had in his back pocket. However, the sun shined
on the shoe, as the colonists behind Hugh kicked the
glass in front of the shoe, effectively starting a small fire.
The fire then set the tall grass aflame, causing the
colonists to pull back slightly. One Indian also burst into
flames. This made the other Indians shout out and
retreat, leaving the Indian behind. The Indian who had
burst into flames was now dead somewhere in the tall
grass. The battle was finally over. The colonists had
won.
