Bi-lingual pupils share
language experiences
At school we have a club called Languages Club for people in P3
to P7 who speak more than one language. Languages Club is lots
of fun! There we play games from different countries and we
learnt Indonesian ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors,’ called ‘Elephant, Man,
Ant.’ Writers find creative
We also do ‘Language of the Month,’ where we choose a
language and research it. We share our facts and make a video of outlet in INKlets
the person in the club speaking in their language. We say hello,
what our name is and what language we speak. At the end of INKlets is a creative writing magazine that showcases work
Term 1 we had a big party! We all brought food from different from Upper Primary pupils. The INKlets editorial team meet
places and played party games. each week to discuss forthcoming issues, as well as having
an opportunity to play word and language games and write

poems and stories for fun. In December, we produced our
first issue that consisted of amazing pieces of writing, poetry
and pictures.
All the members of INKlets love reading but most of all we
love writing and we were extremely enthusiastic about
improving our work. The club is lots of fun. We stretch our
vocabulary, fire up our imaginations and celebrate our work.
We are so proud to have pieces of our writing published in
the magazine. INKlets is a great club and we always leave
with a smile on our faces and brains full of new ideas!
