12. Tournament Participation:
a. In order to participate in the Bocaire Cup, President’s Cup, Gal Pal
Challenge and Ladies League Championship, each player must be a
member of the Ladies’ Golf League. A valid handicap is needed for
participation in all league tournaments. A handicap is considered valid
when the rounds you are playing are being posted. A league
tournament is considered a tournament played ONLY from Opening
Day to Closing Day.
b. An active USGA handicap is needed to enter the Women’s Club
Championship. An active USGA handicap is maintained by posting four
18-hole scores over the past 90 days. Players participating in the 9-hole
Club Championship must have posted four 9-hole scores over the past
90 days.
c. Each 18 Hole player will play the tee where they play the majority of
their rounds from. The Tournament Committee has the ability to adjust
a player’s tee if that player has committed to changing tees, but has
not yet reached a majority of posted rounds from that tee. Neither
coaching or caddying are permitted during tournament play.
13. Pace of Play:
Players are expected to play 18 holes in four (4) hours. It is each player’s
responsibility to monitor her group’s pace of play, and depending on the
size of the field five (5) hour rounds will not be tolerated and could result
in disqualification. During play, if there is a hole open, in front of your
group, you should invite the group behind to go through. Faster groups
may ask to play through if not invited. However, if you, as an individual
are very fast, be considerate of your playing partners, as it should be a
team request not one person.
14. Birdies:
Birdies will be honored seven days a week. They will be honored only
while playing with a member of the Ladies’ League. Please report any
birdies to the Pro Shop.
15. Rules:
a. All players are expected to observe the rules and regulations of the
golf course with consideration to other players. This will promote
greater enjoyment of the scheduled tournaments and facilitate play
on the course. Any player who exhibits negative behavior while
participating may be reason to bar them from future tournaments.
Please refrain from using cell phones during all tournaments to
conduct business or make personal calls. Please silence your cell
phones.
b. Any and all infractions of the Rules and Regulations set by the
Committee should be brought to the Women’s Golf Committee
immediately. All complaints or comments regarding tournaments are
to be made to Committee Members Only, not to the Golf Staff.
