Bocaire Handicap Sub-Committee

      Members and Sponsored Guests,

It is the Golf Committee, Handicap Committee and Professional Staff‘s
objective to have all Members post scores according to the Rules of
Golf. It is essential for all Members of the Men’s League playing in
Men’s League events or club sanctioned events to follow the
      procedures outlined below.

A missed posting is defined as a Member who has played a round of
golf (9 or 18 holes) based on a tee time on the Bocaire Tee Sheet and
has not submitted a score for posting to the GHIN system for that
round of golf. If applicable, based on the rules for a non-postable
score as defined in the USGA and this Handbook, a Member may
enter or notify the Golf Shop that the round played is a non-postable
score. A Member having played golf must either post a score or
      report the round as non-postable.

The Missed Posting Report will be published each Friday at the Golf
Shop showing the current week’s rounds by Member and the number
of missed postings for each Member. It is the responsibility of each
Member to review the report by the following Thursday and update
any missed postings with the applicable score for each missed
posting by date played. These scores can be entered into the GHIN
system or submitted to the Golf Shop for entry.

On each Friday morning, the Handicap Committee and Professional
Staff will run another report to allow for any missed scores to be
reflected in the current week’s report. Any Member showing more
than 1 missed score at that time will receive “penalty scores” for those
additional missed scores. The penalty score(s) will be equal to the
lowest score posted for the Member in their current year’s scoring
history. There is no limit to the number of penalty scores that can be
posted. Every Member is encouraged to post scores after each round
or if applicable according to the rules, insure the round is recorded as
      a non-postable score.

Any questions on this procedure or to declare a round as non-
postable based on the rules can be directed to the Professional Staff
or Handicap Committee. We look forward to having enjoyable and
      fair Men’s League events!
