Where To Find More Information
As the IRS is changing the forms for 2020 reporting in 2021, final forms and
instructions are not yet available. However, you can find draft forms and
instructions at www.irs.gov/forms-instructions. You can click on this link to
download a PDF copy of the Form W-9 and instructions to give to vendors.
How We Are Assisting Clients
We will be reaching out to clients to assist with a review of your books and
records to aid in the collection of the appropriate Forms W-9 from vendors. If you
have received a W-9 from a vendor in the past, there is no need to request a new
one, unless you believe that some of their information may have changed (such as
an address or name change). In the meantime, begin having all service vendors
complete a W-9 to avoid hassles and delays in January.
