Tasty Naan Bread
2 servings 25 minutes PREPARATION
1. Use a jug to stir dry yeast into lukewarm water and wait for yeast to acivate (approx. 5 mins).
2. Use a large bowl to combine all the dry ingredients (ie. coconut flour, psyllium husk, almond flour, and salt).
3. Pour in yeast mixture into the bowl followed by olive oil. Combine the ingredients, then knead the dough by hands for 2 minutes. Knead until the fiber from the husk and coconut flour absorbs all the moisture (2-5 mins)
4. Form a ball of dough and place in the mixing bowl. Set aside for 10 minutes at room temperature.
5. Knead the dough again for 30 seconds. Split the dough into 4 balls for 4 large naans or into 6 ballos for smaller breads.
6. Take a single ball and place it on parchment paper. Then cover the ball with a second piece of parchment paper and press it slightly from the top.
7. Get a rolling pin to flatten the dough into a naan shape. Remove the top parchment paper layer.
8. Warm a non-stick pan under medium-high heat. When the pan is hot, flip over the rolled naan onto the pan. Then peel off the bottom parchment paper the bread for 1-2 minutes on high heat until black spots appear.
9. Flip the naan over and cook for 1 minute on that side, again until brown/black spots form.
10.Serve immediately, spread vegan butter and roasted garlic on top of each bread and serve.
