Fellows                                            Michael G. Riley

                                                                 Our Foundation Fellows give back in remarkable ways, and
                                                                 Fellow Michael G. Riley is an outstanding example. Mike serves
                                                                 as a member of our Foundation Board of Directors and the
                              FEATURE                            Estate Planning section. He’s a dedicated volunteer, a generous
                                                                 contributor and mentor, and a valued friend to the Foundation.
                                                                 “It’s great to see enthusiastic lawyers working together to create
                                                                 opportunities for individuals and our community,” Mike says.
                                                                 This summer, he mentored a Louis Stokes Scholar, in a program
                                                                 supported by the Foundation. Mike shares, “I got a better
                                                                 appreciation of how talented, enthusiastic and ambitious some
                                                                 18- and 19-year-olds can be.”

                                                                 Mike is a member at McDonald Hopkins with expertise in
                                                                 executive compensation, taxation and estate planning. He earned
                                                                 his J.D. from Syracuse University, Summa Cum Laude in 1987 and
                                                                 a L.L.M. in Tax Law from Case Western Reserve University School
                                                                 of Law in 1996. He received a M.A.T. from Brown University in
                                                                 1980 and an A.B. from College of the Holy Cross in 1978.

                                                                 Mike chose to become a Silver
                                                                 Fellow which represents an even
                                                                 higher level of giving back. Why?
                                                                 “I have the desire to continue being
                                                                 a part of and supporting the great
                                                                 work of the Foundation,” he replied.
                                                                 “I want to be an example for many
                                                                 others to step up.”
