Fellows Michael G. Riley
Our Foundation Fellows give back in remarkable ways, and
Fellow Michael G. Riley is an outstanding example. Mike serves
as a member of our Foundation Board of Directors and the
FEATURE Estate Planning section. He’s a dedicated volunteer, a generous
contributor and mentor, and a valued friend to the Foundation.
“It’s great to see enthusiastic lawyers working together to create
opportunities for individuals and our community,” Mike says.
This summer, he mentored a Louis Stokes Scholar, in a program
supported by the Foundation. Mike shares, “I got a better
appreciation of how talented, enthusiastic and ambitious some
18- and 19-year-olds can be.”
Mike is a member at McDonald Hopkins with expertise in
executive compensation, taxation and estate planning. He earned
his J.D. from Syracuse University, Summa Cum Laude in 1987 and
a L.L.M. in Tax Law from Case Western Reserve University School
of Law in 1996. He received a M.A.T. from Brown University in
1980 and an A.B. from College of the Holy Cross in 1978.
Mike chose to become a Silver
Fellow which represents an even
higher level of giving back. Why?
“I have the desire to continue being
a part of and supporting the great
work of the Foundation,” he replied.
“I want to be an example for many
others to step up.”
