TRAILERTALK
Doepker Acquires Peerless and Scona Trailer
Brands from Manac
The Doepker Group of Companies, one of Canada’s leading semi-trailer manufacturers, is pleased
to announce the acquisition of the Peerless and Scona trailer brands from Manac Inc. This strategic
move strengthens Doepker’s position in the industry and expands its ability to serve key sectors,
including oil and gas, mining, forestry, logging, and construction.
As part of this transition, Andy McEachern will be joining the Doepker team as Senior Vice President. The full Peerless and Scona trailer
product lines will now be manufactured in Saskatchewan while continuing to be supported by the current Peerless team of sales staff.
Engineering, retail parts, and truck rigout operations will remain based in Penticton, BC.
“Doepker is proud to keep these strong Canadian brands under Canadian ownership. With our team now exceeding 400 people, we are
committed to supplying high-quality, Canadian-built trailers to customers across North America,” said Evan Doepker, President & CEO of
Doepker. “Our operational excellence programs in Saskatchewan have created the capacity to integrate the Peerless and Scona brands
alongside Doepker’s existing lineup. This positions us for continued growth, and we look forward to expanding our team in Saskatoon in
the near future.”
“The Peerless and Scona brands align perfectly with Doepker’s commitment to world-class, high-performance semi-trailers,” added
Bill Schuler, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer. “Our teams share a passion for customer success, and we are excited to bring these brands
together under one strong Canadian company.”
With this acquisition, Doepker Group continues its legacy of innovation, quality, and dedication to our customers in the transportation
industry.
