Mobile Dispensary
ACRD implemented the Mobile Dispensary Project for Schedule Tribes by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs from 2003- 2019.
Under the project, free health check-up camps for tribal people were organised regularly in the remote villages of Chayani Borduar
and Rani Development block, Kamrup district.
A health check-up unit in Narayanpur village, Chayani Borduar was also set-up where free medicines, referrals to local health
centres or hospitals in cases of emergencies were given to people under the programme.
SBI Sanjeevani Clinic on Wheels
ACRD with the support of the State Bank of India Foundation (SBIF) and co-funded by National Securities Depository Limited
(NSDL) and SBI Mutual Funds is implementing "SBI Sanjeevani Clinic on Wheels," covering 40 remote villages of Baksa and
Tamulpur districts, Assam from March 2023 till date.
The Sanjeevani project is aimed at providing preliminary healthcare services through a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) or Outpatient
Department (OPD) van -- to people living in remote areas. Under this project, the SBI Foundation has provided two OPD vans so
that access to remote areas becomes easier.
20352 The MMU or the OPD vans are equipped with basic medical facilities, and a medical team comprising of doctor, lab
technician, pharmacist and a health assistant –cum-driver for providing both preventive & curative health services along with
beneficiaries were covered diagnostic and referrals. A total of 20352 beneficiaries were covered during the period March 2023- February 2024.
