GENES, HEALS, & SNEAKERS

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will
do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth,
because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his
own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Under normal conditions, we each receive 46 chromosomes from each parent.
Things like eye color, hair texture, and even the shape of our mouth can be
traced back to the information contained in the genes from our parents. We
(children) are copies or images of the original. In the third chapter of John,
Jesus tells Nicodemus , "You must be born again." Sin had corrupted the
original copy. A new copy or image had to be made, but it had to come from a
different source--a pure source. The rebirth experience comes through faith in
the death, burial,, and resurrection of Jesus, the Son of God. Being born of the
Spirit, we receive our new DNA from from our new Father--The purest of
sources. Clearly Jesus' statement to the religious establishment, was that their
DNA didn't show any resemblance to His Father. What do our traits show? Do
we look like Him? Do we speak like Him? Do we walk like Him? Just like our
religious counterparts, are we pretending to be children without accepting the
cross or the gospel?

John 3:3
Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is

born again[b] he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
