生於彰化，臺中逢甲大學經營管理學院文
創碩士。1981年創立黃映蒲雕塑事務所，
非學院、無師承、全方位的雕塑創作家。
創作領域從寫實的具象、意念的抽象、到
宗教的造象、立體空間的三象界。在大塊
的思考空間裡，技法與心法應為一氣的共
生體。有技無心，如狂風暴雨不知停歇；
有心無技，如四季無寒暑不知冷暖。藝術
的心法與技法，只是人生大法之入門。緣
生緣滅，不畏今之緣生，只怕未能在緣滅
之前做好準備，會可惜了在這一趟時空中
無所罣礙的緣。
Mr. Huang was born in Changhua and graduated with
a master’s from Feng Chia University’s Executive
Master of Business Administration Program. An all-
round self-taught sculptor, he founded the Huang Ying-
Pu Sculpture Office in 1981. His creative field ranges
from concrete figuration, to abstract work, to religious
imagery, in a three dimensional space. Given enough
space for thought, technique and mind become a
symbiotic body. Skill without heart is an uncontrollable
storm, but heart without skill is the seasons without
cold and heat. These aspects of art are our stepping
stones to Dafa. Life starts; life ends. The start of life is
nothing to fear. The only thing to fear is that we do not
make enough preparation before we die; we will then
lose the opportunity to have a carefree destiny in this
time and space.
