Government build a programme that may assist employers economically stricken by the
pandemic and also the programme has two-pronged objectives, namely ensuring that
employers are able to continue operating and at the identical time, preventing employees
from losing their jobs
The programmed, for the primary three months, companies that employ over 200 workers
receive RM600 per retained employee and people with between 76 to 200 employees get
RM800 per employee. Companies with 75 employees, which constitute the bulk of
employers within the country – will get RM1,200 per worker. For the three months then,
the quantity of subsidy is at a flat rate of RM600 per worker, no matter the workforce
size.
Malaysia has planned countermeasures. The government has announced three stimulus
packages at RM10 billion, RM20 billion, and RM230 billion. Each of these organisations
plays a unique role in mitigating covid-19's economic effects by providing wage subsidies,
discounts on commercial and domestic power consumption, tax exemptions and reliefs for
domestic visitors
