        MIL at Microsoft Ignite

Seventeen MIL employees from two contracts across the ITS
sector attended the annual Microsoft Ignite conference in
Orlando, Florida. Ignite is Microsoft’s largest conference covering
nearly every technology and product line offered, with something
for everyone—from developers to product managers, IT pros to
business managers. The week is packed with educational sessions
and networking opportunities and is capped off with an exclusive
        party at Universal Studios.
Each year at Ignite, Microsoft announces new technologies and
this year was no exception. Highlights and announcements
included: Azure Arc, which extends resource management to on-
prem and IoT/edge; Project Cortex, a knowledge network for the
organization; Visual Studio Codespaces, an online code editing
environment; Dapr, a distributed applications runtime; OAM, an
        open application model; Quantum, computing developer tools;
a Chromium-based version of the Edge browser; passwordless
security with FIDO2; and Azure Synapse Analytics which spans
enterprise data warehousing and Big Data analytics.
Overall, it was an incredible week of learning, sharing, and
comradery. MIL employees had the opportunity to discover new
tools and resources, while enhancing their skill sets and gaining
further expertise. Not only was it an amazing experience for all
involved, but the education each employee received will continue
to help our clients succeed and excel.
MIL attendees included Carter Raines, Vin Seibert, Emily
Lotridge, Michael Brockman, Waseem Riyaz, Bora Akkaya,
David St. John, Cory Churches, Umar OKeeffe, Neeraj Parikh,
Delton Sewell, John Gregory, Deryle Foxworth, Ummay Albanese,
Thomas King, Talibah Newman, and Tarquino Jimenez.
