How do you have a

         conversation around IDPs?

Performance appraisal season presents a natural oppor-
tunity to ask about an employee’s goals. As you discuss
the ways in which they excelled in the last year, you can
ask if they find that work interesting or want to do more
to develop their skills. If an employee received less than
outstanding ratings, you could suggest opportunities to
improve via their IDP. Talking with employees about
the future isn’t always easy. There are courses available
via MILTON to assist you in navigating the process. Be
on the lookout for training announcements centered
around the IDP process in the coming weeks.

How do you go about developing an IDP?

         National Hispanic Heritage Month

Hispanic Heritage Month is an annual celebration of the history and culture of the U.S. Latinx and Hispanic
communities. The event, which spans from September 15 to October 15, commemorates how those
communities have influenced and contributed to American society at large.

The term Hispanic or Latino (or the more recent term Latinx) refers to a person’s culture or origin—regardless
of race. On the 2020 Census form, people were counted as Hispanic or Latino, or Spanish if they could identify
as having Mexican, Mexican American, Chicano, Puerto Rican, Cuban, or “another Hispanic, Latino, or
         Spanish” origin.
