Updating your Resume

It’s understandable that updating your resume is a task you only tackle when you’re on the
hunt for a new job. But here’s a thought: your resume is more than just a job search tool. It’s a
snapshot of your professional story, a reflection of your skills, it’s your career highlight reel!

What would your resume say about you right now? Is it a Netflix-worthy docuseries filled
with your latest accomplishments, or more like a dusty VHS tape with your early 2000s
achievements? (Spoiler alert: Blockbuster is not coming back in style.)

Updating your resume annually (yes, even if you’re happy right here!) has some
                   pretty cool perks:

» Spotlight Your Growth: You’ve probably done some amazing work this year—don’t let it go
unrecognized. Adding new projects and achievements while they’re fresh in your mind means you
won’t forget those awesome details later.

» Stay Ready: Opportunities can pop up when you least expect them—maybe a new project, business
development opportunity, or a networking connection that asks for your resume. Keeping it updated
means you’ll be ready to share it without a moment’s hesitation.

» Reflection Time: Reviewing your resume is a great way to reflect on what you’ve accomplished and
where you want to go next. It’s like looking at old vacation photos, but instead of sandy beaches, you
get to see a snapshot of your career journey.
