All the rest of my estate not already given away to him and his heirs and
assigns forever.
ITEM I give to my son Frederick Foy all my money that I am
possesses of except twenty pounds I give to my wife Elizabeth Foy.
Lately I do hereby nominate & appoint my brother Frederick Foy and John
Simmons Jr and Lemuel Hatch, Jr executors of this my last will & testament
revoking and disowning all other wills.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 10th day of
Jany. In the year of our Lord 1786.

Proved in March 1786 by the oath of Emanuel Simmons & Miriam
Simmons.”
JACOB FOY died sometime between January 10, 1786 and March 1786.
Judging from the property listed in his will JACOB was a very wealthy man in
his time.
FREDERICK FOY (Sr) (1751-1815)
Genealogical records become confusing when there are more than one person
living at the same time and place with the same name and no distinctions made
between them in the record. In our present situation there were at least three
FREDERICK FOYs living at the same time in Craven County. One was
FREDERICK FOY, the son of THOMAS FOY and brother to JACOB FOY. The
second was FREDERICK FOY, the son of JACOB FOY and grandson of
THOMAS FOY and nephew of FREDERICK FOY. The third was FREDERICK
FOY, son of FREDERICK FOY, also grandson of THOMAS FOY and cousin
to the FREDERICK FOY who was the son of JACOB FOY.
